Do less. Do it well.
Mar 31, 2026
I saw a commercial yesterday for wine.
They were talking about sticking with the basics — using the best ingredients, taking their time, refusing shortcuts. Quality in, quality out.
And then they ended with a line that caught my attention:
“Less, well done… can become more.”
My mind went straight to all the trendy things we chase in leadership and in life. The hacks. The shortcuts. The “do more, faster” mindset.
But what if the real growth comes from doing less — and doing it well?
What if achieving excellence isn’t about adding more to our plates, but about giving our best energy to the things that actually matter?
When we strip away the fluff, we make room for:
· better decisions
· deeper relationships
· clearer leadership
· more joy
· a higher level of excellence
Less noise.
Less trying to keep up with whatever is trending.
Less, well done… really can become more.
I know I’m often tempted by the shiny object in the moment. One way I stay grounded is by reminding myself each morning of what actually matters that day — the one basic thing that deserves my best attention.
What’s one thing you can do today to reach a higher level of excellence by focusing on less?
Let’s talk about it!
